Happy Independance Day

Independance.............hmm.......to not be dependant........
Here's a fantasy: Being an artist who could paint, dance, sing, act , write, etc. with no worries of meeting ends. Well then, the others would say..........don't we all want to do what we want to do?
Yeah, but, some people should really be free to develop their art. A talent is a terrible thing to waste. Talent is such a slippery thing to grasp. It's a blessing and a curse. It gives the bearer the responsibility of a parent. It's this thing that must be fed and nurtured, that can't be ignored or it wreaks havoc on the artist's psyche. So we artists are talking to each other and cooperating with one another by piling our talents together to make us a force to be reckoned with. And my thinking is, that if one artist has magic, then several together are that much more powerful.
Independance for an artist always has a gallerist, a dealer or a patron attached to it, if the art is to be seen, sold and talked about. What if we become interdependant, as well? Then we can share our strengths and have support for our weaknesses.
Just some thoughts on independance.
